Halloween spooktacular comes to Fox Valley with fancy dress parades for kids and doggies
17 October 2024
Fox Valley is gearing up for a spooktacular fancy dress themed day to help celebrate Halloween.
Dog owners are invited to dress up their
furry friends in their best ghoulish costumes for a fancy dress parade with a
chance to win top prizes.
And the family-themed fun doesn’t end there
as children are also invited to dress up in their best Halloween costumers for
their own fancy dress competition.
Those taking part are invited to take
pictures and selfies to share on social media.
Both competitions are free to enter and will
be taking place at the Stocksbridge-based shopping centre on Saturday, October
26.
Charlotte Whittaker, Centre Manager at Fox
Valley, said: “This promises to be a really fun day out for all the family and
your canine friends.
“So dress up, come along and have fun.”
The children’s fancy dress parade is open to
youngsters up to the age of 12 and kids are asked to assemble at the water fountains
area close to Zorro Lounge at 11am.
There will then be a parade through the
centre up to the outdoor canopy area, close to Aldi, for judging and prize
giveaways at 11.30am.
The dog show fancy dress parade will take
place close to House of Chester doggy deli in the outdoor canopy area at
12.30pm.
Kirsty Baylis, owner of House of Chester,
will kindly do the judging and has donated one of the prizes to be given out at
1pm.
The Halloween spooktacular also gives
visitors the chance to take a look around the centre’s fantastic line up of shops
and hospitality venues.
Shoppers can check out Pandora – the world’s
largest jewellery brand – which has recently launched its first independent
department store concession at the award-winning Sandersons store.
