Fox Valley Celebrates 10 fantastic years with an unmissable Big Birthday Weekend

Fox Valley is gearing up for a landmark celebration this month as it marks 10 years at the heart of the community, inviting visitors to a vibrant and unmissable Big Birthday Weekend.
On Saturday June 13th, and Sunday June 14th, the centre will host a special Big Birthday Weekend packed with celebrations to mark a decade of shopping, dining, events, and community.
Running on both days from 11am – 4pm, a festival-style atmosphere is promised throughout the weekend of family-friendly entertainment, with plenty of opportunities for the local community to come together and celebrate as a thank you for the continued support Fox Valley has received since opening in 2016.
Fox Valley was officially opened in June 2016 by Dame Joanna Lumley OBE. Developed on a former steelworks site, the centre has since become an integral part of the Stocksbridge community.
Over the birthday weekend, visitors can look forward to a lively programme of entertainment including a 10th birthday cake cutting on the Saturday, as well as stilt walkers, an interactive bubble entertainer and performances from Valley Music Festival, Rock Choir and Hannah Rowe – also on Saturday.
A diverse line-up of food vendors will add to the festivities, with tasty options from the traders such as Nomadic Pizza and Greek Pitta, alongside not one, but two fabulous mobile bars courtesy of Sip and Sparkle and Fancy Filly.
The Big Birthday celebrations are already getting underway on social media, with the Fox Valley Instagram page giving followers the chance to win ten amazing prizes to be enjoyed at the centre.
To enter, participants need to follow Fox Valley on Instagram, like the competition post, and tag a friend they will bring along to the Big Birthday Weekend.
Some of the centre’s key businesses who have been part of the Fox Valley line up from day one are also celebrating their 10th birthday – including Regatta, Seasalt, Holland and Barrett, Crawshaws, Aldi, Costa, Home Bargains and Ponti’s Italian Kitchen.
With M&S opening at Fox Valley later this year, the 10th birthday celebrations also bring an exciting new chapter for the centre as it continues to grow and evolve.
